i like the concept and the photo but the softness of the skin does not mesh well with the out of focus eyelashes and hair. My eyes go to the eyelashes first and because they are out of focus my eyes wander. possibly for your next one maybe try a definite focal point with soft light so the eyse stay on track. (i know i sound like a pompous ass but im just trying to help)
i see what youre saying about the fuzziness, but i also think that if one of the faces were in significantly sharper focus than the other, it would lose a lot of its effect. one of the effective aspects of this shot is that both faces are slightly out of focus, so it takes a little longer to identify them as being and reflection. were it easier to recognize, the piece would lose some of its charm.
Oh, the idea is great alright! I think you've realized it nicely. But, of course, I am curious to see what else you'll come up with. I like the toning and the modest contrast in this picture. It creates a very intimate atmosphere. Needless to say, I also find the ambiguous title appealing. Good one!
